I have a worksheet which has a series of cells which contain data. The following month, the same cells, but some of them my show the same data, some may have changed.
I would like to have those cells in the second worksheet that have NOT changed (in other words, the data is a duplicate of the previous month) show in red text, but if the value has changed then regular black text.

In this way I can see at a glance what has NOT changed from the previous month.

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Conditional formatting will do this for you. Assuming that the relationship in cells is the similar to: sheet1!.A1 is equivalent to Sheet2!.A1

Select the range you want to compare and chose Conditional Formatting then New Rule
Select Use a Formula. In the box type in =A1=. Then click on the other sheet and select the first cell of the equivalent range you want to compare. Then click on the format button and chose your format.

The formatting is dynamic, so as cells in the ranges change, so will the appropriate format change.
