How to copy sheet WITHOUT 256 character limitation?

I'm trying to copy a sheet that contains cells with more than 256 characters. I get this message:

"The sheet you are copying has cells that contain more than 255 characters. When you copy the entire sheet, only the first 255 characters in each cell are copied.

To copy all of the characters, copy the cells to a new sheet instead of copying the entire sheet."

The sheet has MANY columns (out to BD) of specifically set widths. Additionally, there are hidden columns. If I just copy the cells, then I would have to reset all the widths and the hidden columns.

I was hoping for a quicker way. Help!

(I have a follow-up question which I'll use to create a new thread: How can I locate all cells with more than 255 characters using a find or Conditional Formatting?)

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
I must apologize. I just realized a simple way to copy all the cells AND the column widths and the formatting.

Instead of selecting the cells from A1 to Ctrl-End, I could either:

Select using Select All (Ctrl-A) - for some reason, I thought this wouldn't work.
Select the columns using column headers

Problem solved.

Again, I apologize. I should've tried these first.
