How to delete comment pictures, not just the comments?

Hello. When I use pictures in comments (mouse cursor over cell will pop up a picture), then remove such a comment, the file size tells me that the image itself is still stored in the excel-file. I never did paste these pictures into excel, I added them like in this link: Excel - How to add an image to a cell How to delete such pictures? Thanks!
 
No luck. I experimented: By doing that (on a copy) it found, for instance, two hidden objects, which I knew to be pictures. I have a piece of VBA-code which brings the pics visible if certain things are selected from dropdown boxes. The file check deleted those, but the original pic that had been in a comment and been removed, the cause for concern, it remains a part of the file size.
