Hi, I have an excel sheet with comma separated Arabic values. The Arabic comma is Unicode U+060C , how would I specify a unicode delimiter in the VBA Split function?

Thanks
David

Thanks PGC, works a treat! - Now I can get some sleep.
In the immediate window when I display results I just see ????? for the Arabic - is it possible to see the Arabic - same as I see it on the Excel sheet?

Thanks
David

I'm glad it helped.

The VBA editor does not support Unicode.

To see Arabic characters in the Immediate Window I think the only way is to change the system locale.

If you have administrative privileges try in the control panel:

Region->Administrative->Change System Locale...

Choose some locale to one country that uses Arabic with that comma (I don't know Arabic, maybe all the Arabic options are OK for that comma)

This will be used by programs that don't support Unicode.

Restart the PC and test.

Hope it works OK. If not, go back to your usual locale.

Thanks PGC,
I don't read Arabic either, but by the number of question marks I think the results are ok, guess I'll just use the Excel sheet from here.

P. S.

Just out of curiosity I tried the locale Saudi Arabia and I did get the Arabic comma in the immediate window.
