I need Formula to compare two date columns

I came here a week ago for some help changing formats for some dates, and the tips got the job done. So I have another question, seems simple but I don't know much about formulas so I'm not sure how to do it.

Basically, I have two columns on a sheet, let's say A and B. They both have dates in the MM/DD/YY format. All I need is a formula in a third column, C, that can compare the two dates and tell me if column A is an older date than column B. (Don't worry about any dates being equal, none of them will be.)

So if Column A has 10/31/00 and B has 11/09/00, I'd want something in column C, a "True" perhaps, that let's me know A is an older date than B.

Can anyone help, is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

=if(A1>B1,"Greater","Less")

or

=if(A1>B1,"TRUE","FALSE")
