Linking multiple Excel Files

I have several excel files that will need to be linked. First I will have a File coming from Quickbooks that will have updated inventory on it. Second file is my template file in Excel for that particular vendor that will have inventory, description, etc. Third the upload file for Square which is linked to all columns in the second file.

My question is, how do I link the ever changing first file to the 2nd file. I'm not sure when I save the first file - if I should save with same name - and then I can just link the inventory column to the second file. Or if I can completely do away with the linking of the 2nd file (since I only will need one column once all the other columns are in Square already).

This maybe confusing so please write and I will clarify. Just not quite sure how to do this.
