Logic Function Help

I have an issue to resolve. I need to build a tax calculator as follows: if the price of an item (A1) is between $1600.01 and $3200 the item is taxed at 2.75% for only the amount over $1600 but no more than $3200. If the item is less than $1600.01 there is zero tax. If the item is more than $3200 the tax maxes out at $44. Any help on this one?
