Looping through folders within Outlook

Hi all,

I've been asked if I can create a macro that loops through a number of email folders within Outlook and saves the contents to a location on a network (ideally it would then clear the contents of those folders within Outlook). I was just wondering if anyone knew, initially, if this was possible? I've been studying VBA over the last year but not come across something like this (most interactions I've seen with VBA and outlook have related to the sending of emails) so just wanted to check viability to start with.

Thanks,

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
This is certainly possible. For each folder, you can loop through all the emails in the folder and save each email as a .msg file. Need more details like exactly how you want to specify the email folders.

Perfect, thanks John - just wanted to check feasibility initially then I’m going to have a crack and see if I can work it out. Thanks very much!
