make only a range selectable

How do i make it so only a range a2:b3 is able to be selected, i mean by using a code for the page, without having to "Protect the sheet"

The code you posted is nothing like what you said you need in your original post.

I'm not clear on what you are trying to do.

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
You can't drag data outside of that range.

You can if the sheet's not protected.

Took me a second to figure out what you were talking about. Yes you can drag to fill down by selecting the corner of the cell. I thought you were refering to draging the contents into another cell by selecting the edge of the cell where the cursor turns into four arrows.
