Mass Conditional Formatting Issues

I have two columns of prices and I want to do a Conditional Formatting to highlight the cells in the right column if the cost is higher than the cell to the left of it.

For Example:

P3<Q3
P4<Q4
P5<Q5
P6<Q6
...
P40<Q40
I can do this one at at time. What I'm trying to do is see if there's a way to do this for the whole columns at once

Highlight your range and using the New Rule and Using a Formula

=P3>Q3

This applies the Rule to the range you choose

That sort of works. There are some rows that it actually highlights both the smaller and larger number. Can you attach an example?

You can't attach a file per se, but check the FAQ section for posting snippets of a file.

Also check to see that you're comparing numbers, as > (greater than) sign will not highlight the smaller value.
