As far as I'm aware, it IS possible for multiple users to be using the same workbook simultaneously via the Share Workbook functionality.

From memory, if both you and another user are making a change to the SAME cell, a message pops up, asking whether to accept your value or the other user's.

However, what if the workbook contains VBA code?

Is it still possible for multiple users to open the workbook and if so, what happens if either user runs some code?

Thanks

Excel Joke
Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
I found this article:

Code:
https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/programming-excel-with/0596007663/ch08s03.html#:~:text=Once%20you%20share%20a%20workbook,run%20macros%20from%20shared%20workbooks.

which states VBA code on a shared workbook CAN be run (but not be edited).

Suppose the code clears the contents on Sheet1. What would happen if user 1 ran the code?

Would Sheet1 (viewed by user 2) be empty?
