No Negative results showing on difference on two calculated fields

Hello.

I have [Total Wgt] and [Total Wgt Last Year].
Got the difference/variance by: Variance Wgt Against LY:=[Total Wgt]-[Total Wgt Last Year]
If Total Wgt is 2000 and Total Wgt Last Year is 5000, i expect -3000 as a result. But it's only giving me 0.
Is there additional formula i have to include?

Also, how can I get the red color on negative numbers or percentages in power pivot?

I'm gonna have to see this one My only guess is that we are talking about measures (calculated fields) and that while and individual delta may be negative... in aggregate it is not.
