Non adjacent cells selection

Hi

Simple question which I've struggled with.. I want to select non adjacent cells e.g. A1 and C1.
I tried Range(Cells(1, 1), Cells(1, 3)).Select amongst other things but to no avail.

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

Thank you, but I couldn't get it working using Cells instead of Range("A1: etc....

It's really got to be using Cells. I.E. Along the lines of (Cells(1, 1), Cells(1, 3)).Select
