I am pasting a large amount of formulas. Is there any way to check that I have not stalled excel.
I do not yet see a progress bar. The little circle keeps turning, is there any way to see if this has not stalled for good. Usually I will just wait for a period of time and then reboot. Is there a better way to see if it will complete calculations?

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Hi,

Before you Copy / Paste process ... just turn off the Automatic calculation ...

Thanks.
Do that fom time to time, but sooner or later need to recalc.
Is it safer / leass likely to freeze computer by shutting off calulations copying everything in and then setting back to auto?
