Hi All,

Just to say, I am very new to the world of Power Query. Little I know is by Youtube videos and forums such as these. To put into perspective, took me over a week to learn how to use parameterized queries. Just to put into perspective, that I am very "raw" at this.

Here is the problem I am facing.

1) Source files are saved in a folder in Excel 2010 format. No problem with importing from folder and filtering for latest file based on date created.
2) The file has a filename of todays date - dd-mm-yy
2) I use Office 365 and Excel seems to import the file using the "Transform File" automated steps. No problem with this.

The issue is when want to refresh the query connection, I get an error.

When I open "Advanced Editor" to amend the filename, I cannot see the filename. I do see Transform File(1), Invoke Custom Function etc.

What I am looking for is help with a process / step where I can update the file name and extract data from the most recent file in the said folder, whenever I need updated information.

Any assistance would be most helpful.

Keep well and safe.

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Read my article here first, then ask any added questions

hopefully it will help.
