Hi all,

Can someone help me please. I need 2 macros:

1. Protect the current worksheet only, and prompt me for a password.

2. Protect the whole workbook (so that sheets cannot be rearranged) and prompt me for a password.

Thanks :biggrin:

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
This should do it.

Code:
Sub AddPasswords()

    Dim sSheetPass As String
    Dim sBookPass  As String

    sSheetPass = InputBox("What is the new password for the sheet?")
    sBookPass = InputBox("What is the new password for the workbook?")

    ActiveSheet.Protect Password:=sSheetPass
    ThisWorkbook.Protect Password:=sBookPass

End Sub
