Query Results Showing $-00

Hello Everyone,

I'm running a query that returns several cells with value of $-00. Does anyone know what this means? Why do I get $-00 instead of just $0?

Thanks for your reply. It is formatted as Accounting in Excel, then pulled into Access by a macro.

Possibly you are getting very small numbers (such as -.000001). Maybe use a Round() function in Excel (or follow up the import with an update to round the data in Access independently).

It's very interesting. The accounting format renders 0's as "-" in Excel. It looks like it would be a combination of "-" and specifying two decimal places in a currency field in Access. I can't replicate it with a copy/paste, but I have heard of strange results when importing Excel data, such as when the cell value is preceded by a '.
Are these strange values only presented by the query, or are they actually in the table?
