I created an excel file using Macro, where I input data into sheet one and click submit to send it to sheet 2. Now I need help protecting sheet 2 but for the data to still transfer from sheet 1 to sheet 2 while it's protected. Is this possible? Sorry I'm new to excel....

Try:
Code:
Columns("F:G").Locked = True

It is really difficult to tell what's happening without being able to see you actual file. Perhaps you could upload a copy of your file to a free site such as www.box.com. Once you do that, mark it for 'Sharing' and you will be given a link to the file that you can post here. Include a detailed explanation of what you would like to do referring to specific cells and worksheets.

I actually got it to work, Thank you! Now to timestamp cells in column G when data is entered into cells in column F, Can I also use macro?

Copy and paste this macro into the worksheet code module. Do the following: right click the tab for your sheet and click 'View Code'. Paste the macro into the empty code window that opens up. Close the code window to return to your sheet. Enter your data in column G.
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
    If Intersect(Target, Range("F:F")) Is Nothing Then Exit Sub
    Target.Offset(0, 1) = Format(Now(), "HH:MM:SS")
End Sub
