Hello!
So I am facing a problem with an excel problematic for my work I can't figure out on my own, even after researching a lot online (or when I try them they don't work).
I have attacher the file if it helps: https://we.tl/7hopolpjUV. So I would like to replace à value in a cell by a corresponding value from a data table in sheet number2.
In this date table (sheet 2) we have 2 columns: sub categories (example: chinese, thai, burger, italien etc) and in the second column we have their corresponding ID numbers (23, 12, 2).
What I would like to do in sheet 1 is the following: I would like to choose from a drop down box a sub category (so for example "chinese") and I want it to replace automatically in the cell where I chose from the drop down box its corresponding ID, so for example, I click on "chinese" and it writes "23" in my cell!
Is that possible? Can someone help me out? I would be really really grateful as it would simplify everyone's life at the office.
Thank you so much,
Marie
