Hi

I'm trying to get the data validation to only allow exact entries in cells based on a list. I'd previously achieved this by entering a delimited list but this doesn't seem to work so well with Office 365 on Mac.

I have student grades and codes as a range. These include:
A
B
C
D
E
NS
Ung
NR

Data Validation works to a degree but it also allows the codes above to be entered in different case combinations such as a,b,c,d,e,ns,ung,UNG,nr. This of course is something I don't want.

I've tried a number of formulas but these only seem to work when custom is selected and I'd like to keep the drop-down list.

I have Error Alert set to Stop.

Hopefully this description provides a clear enough outline of what I'm trying to achieve. Any help would be most appreciated.

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
