If i want the return value from a UDF (in VBA) to be NA (same as if i had entered =NA() in the cell), what do i assign the function value to?

Thanks,
tom

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Hi Tom,

Assuming the variable type is a variant, try this:

Code:
'Your variant variable name' = CVErr(xlErrNA)

Heh, great, thanks! I have generally declared these UDFs as returning Double to the Excel sheet. Is there any difference between declaring the function return type as Double vs. Variant? Or, will all the calculations work out the same once the value is in the Excel grid?

Thanks again for this nice tidbit!
