Round to 500

Does anybody have any ideas if it is possble to get excel to round the answer of a formula to the nearest 500.

Try the MROUND function:

=MROUND(A1,500)

Replace ROUND with ROUNDUP if you want only round up...

=ROUND(your formula/500,0)*500

or have a look at Mround which requires the analyst tool pak be installed.

That is the case in some language versions of Excel, but not in a standard English version, which most board members use.
