Run a macro after the security setting is lowered

Hi all,

I have a macro with a lot of hotkeys that are set in the "WorkBook_Open" event code but many people get it and need to turn thier security settings down so they can run any macros. That is, none of the hotkeys will be set since that event code didn't run. Is there any method to automatically run code after the change is made to reduce security?

I know the easy answer is to have only one public sub that sets all the keys and to instruct them to go developer-macros-KeySetMacro but this really needs to be as easy as possible for the user.

Thanks in advance!

I'm using Excel 2007 with Vista

I would highly recommend NOT setting your Security Level to Low. Instead, look at creating a Self-Cert and sign your VBA code/macros. Then, the first time someone opens this file, they can go through the process of accepting your signature. Then in the future, any file they open (on that computer) that has been signed by you will automatically be accepted and macros enabled.

Here is a link that tells your how to create the Self-Cert:
