so I have a insurance office and use Excel to create a log (although currently we just print it off and fill it in manually) to keep track of Which Customer Service Rep's (CSR) turn it is to quote AND with the intention of giving the prospect a quote ref number to bring with them so that we can find the right CSR that was speaking with him/her and continue the quote, they rarely remember to bring the quote # with them (but if it was in a spreadsheet we could use his ph # to search)... So i thinks this is perfect for a little excel workbook you know to get a sheet to keep track of the quote sequence #s and to calculate whose turn it is via the lowest seq # and another sheet to LOG the prospect info with uni info that will make it easy to search for the quote. SO the CSR with the lowest seq # ASSUMING they are available, (CUSTOMER must not be required to wait on a CSR to get off the phone or for another client to finish up with her if she has them at her desk just because she is next to quote... get it THE CUSTOMER is KING, so the user needs to be able to skip the absolute lowest seq # IF the next CSR is not available (or for whatever reason has gotten two or 3 quotes in a row, we need to skip that CSR because she is is going to get too stacked to service the quotes she has) ... The tabulation for this next available CSR must also be flexible enough that is where the prospect is asking to handle a REFERRAL for a CSR by name...
Oh and i need for multiple users to be able to see & enter data (share) in a networked environment ... glad to send what i have so far just got to far into the weeds to make sense to keep trying...
