Hi,

I'm a newb to the forum an have searched past threads on Excel security and have come to the conclusion that no protection will provide absolute protection.
Can the forum recommend the best course of action though for an Excel sheet that will be read only but has to run some VB code in the background. I am using Excel 2013 Professional.

A colleague is suggesting and add-in called Lock XLS (www.lockxls.com) but I've read that most of these tools aren't too good.

All help appreciated and aplogies if you regulars have heard all this stuff before (I there is a thread I've missed on his then please let me know!) Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Now I'm reading about Excel compilers like Baler for Lotus 123 ... that sounds exciting!
Would appear to offer great security and ability to share the file externally in an easy way.
Does the forum have a view on the what are the best packages to try. I am a mid-level user so easy and works without knowledge of C++, Java etc. would be ideal.
Thanks
