I have this error "too many different cell formats error" every time I try to move tab one file to the other or make any format change in the file.
How do I fix this error?

Thanks!
Monal.

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
The Microsoft article explains the problem well enough, but doesn't really help us fix it.

Go here: Stack Overflow - Too Many Different Cell Formats

and look for the VBA procedure named "DropUnusedStyles". This checks the workbook for non-built-in styles that are not in use, and deletes those. It retains built-in styles and any custom styles that are actually being used.
