unique problem regarding importing data from excel to excel

I have a unique problem in importing data from excel table to another excel table
File 1: has few column table.. all columns have text and time format data..

when i am importing this table in another file with the help of "Get external Data". it is importing data only as "text" (which is left allign) ,.. so the actual time is changing...

for example":

in file 1: time data was 8:57, but after imports its become 8:01,

can anybody help me in it?

For a little test I just did, it worked OK. My first line of data was
8:57

Does your field have only times (in all cells)? That is, like you post 8:57 and similar in every record.

If not, please provide some further description of the data.
