Hello.

I've spent the last two hours searching for this, i know its here.. but i can't find it.

I saw a great code which compared the values in two columns A and B, data such as A123 and then shows, in another column ie C , things in A and not in B and in another column ie D things in B and not in A.

Really appreciate your help in doing this, have barmy colleague who i've promised to help :)

Ta in advance. Chuf

adruffd,

Welcome to the MrExcel forum.

I am going to assume that your data sets are different then the previous requests.

Please do not post your questions in threads started by others - - this is known as thread hijacking.

Always start a new thread for your questions and, if you think it helps, provide a link to any other thread as a reference.

Start a new thread for your question and be sure to give it a search friendly title that accurately describes your need.

In your New Thread include:
1. the version of Excel you are using
2. Are you using a PC or a Mac?
3. a screenshot, NOT a picture/graphic, of the raw data, and, worksheet name
4. a screenshot, NOT a picture/graphic, of the results (manually formatted by you for the results you are looking for)

To post a small screen shot try one of the following:

and provide us with a link to your workbook.

After you start your own new thread send me a Private Message with a link to your new thread, and, a link to this thread as a reference, and, I will have a look.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
jindon, you're a star.

thanks very much. ( had to tweak the retion to region - in case anyone copies and pastes this fab code themselves)

i will try and adapt to looking at different worksheets etc... have a go myself and if i fail i hope the board will be able to show me the way.

I will have one happy colleague soon. Chuf

I get a compile error on the line If n > 0 Then .Resize(n) .Value = b

Have no clue why - thanks, Sgt Rock
