Vlookup returns #N/A how to change to zero

This is probably a really easy question.
My vlookup returns #N/A for some of the lookups - which I expect.
Is there anyway for me to change the N/A to a zero value?
The column won't total with the #N/A's in it.
Thanks

If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.

It's hard for me to give you an answer any more tailored than the one below, given the infomation you have supplied, but it should get you on the right track.

=IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(A10,E5:F8,2,0))=TRUE,0,VLOOKUP(A10,E5:F8,2,0))
