Hi, I have two lists. One is Company 1 and the other is Company 2

I am wanting to know how many company Bs link to Company Asand vice versa if that makes sense. Ihave tried a few things but no luck.
There may be duplicates as each row is a new recordcontaining other stuff

Eg

COMPANY A COMPANYB

A001 B001
A002 B001
A003 B002
A004 B002
A005 B001
A006 B003

Any help would be appreciated thanks

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
1.

"if that makes sense"

Ok, it clearly makes sense to you.

My answer would be 3. 3 Company Bs link to company A.

Is that your answer too, or something else?

2.

Your data and description implies that all companies consist of one character, would that be a correct assumption as well?

Hi, that was an example layout - there are hundreds of rows sadly! The companies all have different codes but all consist of the same number of characters be it text or number in that

Thanks

No, I'm asking you what you think the answer should be in your example, since you deicded to provide an example.
But you haven't answered the question of what you expect the result to be in your example.
