I am getting a type mismatch error trying to run a vlookup in VBA. The lookup range is in a different workbook. Relevant piece of code is below (wbkHarvester is declared and Set in another global module). Any suggestions? Thanks - Alicia

Dim intExchange As Integer
Dim strCampNum as String

'Determine camp number
strCampNum = rngBYCash.Value

intExchange = Application.WorksheetFunction.VLookup(strCampNum, _
Workbooks(wbkHarvester).Sheets(1).Range("Exchange.Rates"), 3, False)

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the Type Mismatch error. I tried declaring the variable as an Integer as well - same results. Any other thoughts?

If I hover over the strCampNum variable in the code it is resolving correctly.
