I have no idea what’s wrong with X look up

Here’s what Im trying to do:
Im trying to make excel compare columns then minus the value leaving me with a total so i know how much to transfer/ swap out for each location in

1. Column A-D shows the out of stocks/ lows for CA
2. Column E-H shows the out of stocks/lows for VA
3. Column I - J are the in stocks for CA
4. Column K- L are the in stocks for VA

I was trying to get excel to compare and minus:
The out of stocks/ lows in CA to the in stocks in VA
The out of stocks/ lows in VA to the in stocks in CA

I keep messing up the formula can some one help me
Thank you in advance

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Welcome to the MrExcel board!

Perhaps you could show us a small set of dummy data including the expected results (entered manually) with XL2BB and explain again in relation to that sample data?

A photo is not much good anyway since we cannot copy from it to test with. ;)

Also, may helpers choose not to go to external links, or are prevented from doing so by workplace security. That is why we suggest XL2BB which allows the (copyable) data directly in your post.

In any case your link tells me I need access.

Also, just checking - can you confirm that your question an Excel question not a Google Sheets question?

OK, thanks for confirming

I was trying to share it via ....
Why not share it via XL2BB as suggested above?

My formula looks like =XLOOKUP(A4:A7,K3:K7,MIN(B4:B7,L3:L7))
Actually, from your image, it seems you are using a version that does not support XLOOKUP? Can you clarify the situation in relation to that?

I suggest that you fill in the expected values manually so that we can see what you are trying to achieve (preferably show us with XL2BB) and explain how you got those values manually by referring to specific cells and specific calculations.
