    Default Errors Detected

I just started getting this message when working with files in Excel 2010:

"Errors were detected while saving 'C:\temp\temp.xlsm'. Microsoft Excel may be able to save the file by removing or repairing some features. To make the repairs in a new file, click Continue. To cancel saving the file, click Cancel."

Actually it appears to be a problem with a graphic that is in that particular tab. If I delete the graphic, I can save the file just fine.

Anyone have any insight on what might be the root cause of this. I have narrowed it down to one sheet in the file which was generated by our accounting system. But I have used these files in the same manner for 2.5 years without ever getting this message.

Any recent updates? Windows? Office? Excel? The source application?

    Disk problems? Capacity?

IT tightened security recently and removed administrative rights from most all users (me included). Also I upgraded to 2010 from 2007 Excel but had been on 2010 previously before being "reverted" down for a few months. I had not had this issue previously.

There are no external references in the sheet. Just that graphic is causing the problem I am positive.

Can you save an ordinary .xlsx workbook, or any other file for that matter, into C:\Temp? It may be that you are no longer allowed to save anything to the local hard disk for security and backup purposes. When I was managing a restricted environment, no-one could save to the hard disk because the data would not be backed up.

Sounds like you need to check it out with your IT people.

Does the file contain object (pictures) which is copied from another worksheet?
