This is probably a very far out there request but here goes.......

Is there a formula which will magnify (preferably in a pop up box) a particular column heading when I am on a particular cell within that column

as 1 step further I wish to have the functionality to turn it on and off as a button

a colleague said they have seen it somewhere but cant remember where!

This tool would be particularly useful as I often need to look at spreadsheets which have to be 50% zoom. I know I can zoom but thats what I am trying to avoid!

cheers

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Hi Andrew

looks good (if I can get it to work)

I have entered the codes into 'Class', 'UserForm'

and into 'Module' as I dont appear to have 'Standard'

I have saved it all in a macro-enabled file but still no joy any idea on how to get their example to work as I could then rework it?

cheers

Hi Andrew

first chance to try it

It keeps giving the following message

"Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications

Compile error:

The code in this project must be updated for use on 64-bit systems. Please review and update Declare statements and mark them with the PtrSafe attribute"
any idea what this means and what the PtrSafe attribute is/where to find it?

Hi Andrew

thanks for getting back to me so quickly

I have downloaded the asociated file and run/installed it

I have read the associated xps file and am now just lost..!!! installing to an api etc ekkkkk panic mode is rapidly settign in.

I wanted to be able to run this application both in excel 2010 and in earlier versions but the file seems to indicate that it wont

Are you aware of any easier routes around this ie. other magnifying wizards?

really grateful for your time

cheers
