Hi im using Microsoft Query to pull data from a table on 1 sheet to another sheet in the same workbook.
My problem is some of the columns I cannot sum looks like they are text (left aligned).
I have about 20 columns and 7 columns will not sum (on table sheet1 some are straight number inputs, others are results of formulas).
I have tried formatting both tables to numbers.
I’m using a .xlsx workbook in Excel 2010.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
For the straight number inputs, is it possible that there is a leading or trailing space character in the cells that won't sum?
For the columns that hold formulas, is the formula a text (string) type function?
As an example, if you have a mixed text&number field, and use "LEFT", "RIGHT", or "MID" to pull out the numeric parts into another column, the result will be text and won't sum. To make the results summ-able (I know it's not a word), you can use the "VALUE" function to surround the original formula...something like =VALUE(LEFT(A1,3)).
Hope that helps a bit,
