Hi All,

I am new here be nice :) I am having major issues with excel 2016 and the grouping function. You see i am trying to group by weeks and i need to add 7 days in the "number of days" section, but it is greyed out. Now before you say is the dates actual dates (yes they are) and i have no blanks in the columns. I cannot choose a starting date or ending date or number of days as it is all greyed out. Please help me i have tried everything i know off.

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Please close this thread i worked it out. It had to do with the table having an already existing file or something and i had to update it.
