I have a field called "qualified" for which the user has to select "yes/no". There's also an informational field which displays a position description. When the field contains a specific value, I want the yes/no field to be "No". How do I accomplish that? Is it an event?

if position_description contains "Associate", qualified value is "No" else leave the field blank for the user to select the required choice of yes/no.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Use an after update event on the position_description control

Code:
If me.position_description = "Associate" then
me.qualified = "No"
End if

I don't believe it should make a difference, but this is a continuous form. I tried putting in the code below, but it's not automatically displaying "No" as expected. Should this code be in the table design?

Use an after update event on the position_description control

Code:
If me.position_description = "Associate" then
me.qualified = "No"
End if

No. It should be in the form after update event for the control.
