i am looking for a vba code that would check if any of my cell contents have alphanumeric data in the form “A1010” and return a value “E1017” in the cell below i.e. adding 7 to the numbers and switching “A” to “E” in the cell below. subsequently it must insert a straight line below the “E1017”...

I need a formula to follow a numbering from a designated cell and increase by a letter. Like this: if cell A1 is 161201A then cell A2 is 161201B and cell A3 is 161201C and if possible to continue to 161201AA, 161201AB, 161201AC... Anyone?
