Conditional Numeric Formatting

I have a report using OutlookSoft expansions [underlying program is Excel] where I need to have some columns in $ and some columns in %. MDX expansions are overriding my % format because the upper left cell of the data range controls the expansion formatting for the entire data area.

Is there a way to conditionally set the % format in an IF statement or using custom formatting? I have a property on the dimension set I can use in the IF statement but have been unable to figure out how to write the statement to set up the % format. Thanks.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
You might be able to use custom formatting. It depends on whether your numbers fall into specific ranges for the formats. For example:
Code:
[<1]0.0%;0.0
will format figures less than 1 as percents.
