Hi,

i need some help on adding data from today and adding it to the next day until end of month

example is

Aug 1 we have 100 Original data and only able to do 50. so i wanted the 50 excess to be added to the next day orignal data until end of month.
Aug 2 we have now the 150 Moving data (difference between original and actual) and we were able to do 250 actual data. so i wanted it to be added to the next day until end of month
Aug 3 we would only have 50 Moving data (difference between original and actual) ad we were able to do 50 actual as well.

and so on.

i hope my explanation is clear and represented properly with the excel file below

Ok, here goes. I usually don't try to change YOUR way of doing things. When someone asks something similar, I have to ask why you are moving the data so much?

If I had a list items that I was working, I would just keep it in a running list; day after day after day. The list would have a column to check off completion. Then I would create a new table on another sheet that shows only the incomplete items, even if they were days old; let's call that the Tracker. If needed, we could create a macro that allows you to check off the item on the tracker and have it check it off on the running list. The tracker could be filtered to show items within days in the past and days in the future so you can filter on priority or new items. You could create multiple trackers that divided the items by each manager or worker that the item was assigned.

its ok jeff, thank you for the feedback. its just that it was the data that was needed at that time. but we already managed to find an easier alternative.
