I am sure I am overthinking this formula but I am needing to setup a spreadsheet to be able to calculate two dates (one static date (doesn't change) and the other is today's date (changes daily).

One cell contains a EOL date and the other is today's date using (=today() formula).

When I place a formula in the next cell - DATEDIF(A1,B1,'M") it returns a #NUM! error. I believe it is because the Today's date is a formulated response.

How can I get this accomplished?

Thank you in advanced.

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Sounds like B1 is less than A1
