Bar code scanner

Hey guys.

So, I want ideally...... A Scanner for bar codes that will collect data and I can download to excel and then use the data as normal. The scanner needs to record time in, time out and who it was. Any ideas?

Any basic $20 hand scanner could scan into an Excel sheet,
and code in the sheet could add the date/time to the next cell when you scan.
or code in the scanner software event could add the date/time as well.
