Break all links in PowerPoint slide

Hi I have a powerpoint slide that contains several charts pulling from excel, and i want to break all links to excel at once..

is there a way to do this in vba?

i was given this code but it doesnt work.
get compiler error

Your code, as written, must reside within PowerPoint, not Excel. Where is your code located?

do you know how to make this macro always available for any powerpoint file? id like to use it as if it were I n a personal macro workbook
