Hello everyone, Is there a way to have a number equals another, and then calculate?!
e.g 1=6, 2 =12, and so on! the percentage is 75%
75 percent is the target, if you hit 1 X you need to cover by at least 6 Y and that is a 75% coverage + if is so basic, I want to automate a formula to still calculate every time I change the percentage, like 52% 1 X= 2Y as a rounded number as it should be 1.5 Y.
Let's put it simple:
You have a target of 75% between two items X and Y, if you sell 1 X, the you need to cover it by 6 Y which is the target of 75%
1 X = 6 Y
Where if you sell Y, X is no affected

Another example:
In customer service field, if you get 1 Dsat you have to cover it by 6 Csat of a target of 75%
What I want is to automate formulas to run the calculations with the percentage being variable, to change it and get the correct numbers.

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
You're asking to assign a numeric value to a variable that is a number. Aren't you? I don't think Excel can do that.
Can you put a table together of what this looks like? Or a programming step by step?
Aren't you saying:
Let 6 = 1
Let 12 = 2

so 6 + 12 = 3?
Where does the 75% come into play?

75% is the value used to get the number 6 Y when you have 1 X

Please show the math. I don't understand what you're doing.

That is the idea, I don't know the how:

If the target is 75% the to cover up the X by Y then
1=6, 2=12, 3=18
If the target is 52% then
1= 1 and fractions and it must be rounded up to 2, 1= 2 rounded up, and so on.
Please tell if that is clear.

not clear. If you can't draw a picture or sketch it out how can someone answer the question?

I somehow found a calculation method
=(G57*G47)+G57*5.2
G57cell is X, G47 cell is the percentage (75%)
5.2 I really don't know what it stands for or where it did come from, however when I use this formula, I get the correct calculations.
