The dataset is distorted somewhat when I paste it in here, the top half of the table is TV-advertising, the lower half is traffic-data to a website.

The Y-axis on the graph is "Time a day", that is hour 0, 1, 2 and so on. The x-axis is date.


I can't figure out how to make this graph in excel, anyone have any ideas?

Hi Alhajoth,

I'm not sure you can do what you wish. The reason is that if the y axis is time of day and the x axis is the date then there is no variable data to plot, so, for example if you consider 29 Jul 12 at 0900 then the data for Kanal is 1,3, so with the two defined axis you could have a point at their intersection, but how would this represent the figure 1,3? If you extract the data either based on date or on time you might see a useful view, potentially you might do it with a 3D surface, but I think it would be difficult to interpret.

Sorry I'm not more helpful - its possible that others will have a better suggestion - if so I too will read their post with interest!
