Hi, I need to somehow place an image (factory layout) behind cells so that I can show progress of different areas in the factory. For example, on a zone area of the factory layout we may apply a score of 3 for example, this show in ref and a score (%) of 70% would be in green. Im ok with the color scheme but need some help with the image and cells layout. appreciate any help.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Well, you could use Page Layout - Background. There are problems with it. it inserts a repeating picture to cover the entire sheet. If you fill the cells with White, it hides the picture. When you zoom in and out, the picture doesn't scale with the sheet cells.

Hi Jeff, thanks for this. I have used this solution but as you say it repeats the images. I am trying to demonstrate a factory layout with scores for multiple zones over the top of the image so it can be seen where the scores are in relation to the factory.

The only thing I can think of is if you have a drawing where you can make the background transparent before importing into Excel. Lay that over the top of you sheet and start colorizing the areas.
