Hi,
First time poster here.

I'm using an autotext/shortcuts app to insert common used text and formulas into cells. I use the following formula a lot: =E2&" "&F2&" "&C2 to get the text of those 3 cells into one cell. The problem is I have to manually edit the row number.
How can I write the formula so it dynamically changes to the current row it is pasted in (the column must stay the same), for example if I paste it in A9 the formula must be =E9&" "&F9&" "&C9 & if I paste it in A11 then =E11&" "&F11&" "&C11 etc.

Hoping somebody can help
Thank you

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
You could fix the columns by making them absolute.

=$E2&" "&$F2&" "&$C2

Then copy and paste the cell instead of the formula.

Thank you, that does not work however. Like I said in my original post I use an autotext app (Phrase express) to insert formulas and text that we use a lot.
Even if I lock the columns with your formula and "paste" it with the app in A9 for example, it still references row 2.
I need the row in the formula to change to 9.
Hope this makes more sense.

If the app is inserting the formulas then that makes it slightly less simple, but not impossible.
Either of these should work, the second one would be less efficient, with a lot of formulas you might even find an intolerable delay when you change anything in the sheet.
Excel Formula:
=INDEX(E:E,ROW())&" "&INDEX(F:F,ROW())&" "&INDEX(C:C,ROW())
Excel Formula:
=INDIRECT("RC5",0)&" "&INDIRECT("RC6",0)&" "&INDIRECT("RC3",0)
