Hi:

I'm having problems creating a combination stacked bar graph and line graph. What I'm trying to do is Create a Stacked Bar graph for the first section of data (Business Unit). That will give me sales by day by business unit stacked. I then want to create a line that shows Last Year Total sales as shown in the second set of data. I have tried selecting the data in the Last Year Total Sales table and copying/pasting to the Chart, but I don't get the paste special options to add another axis that I'm supposed to. PLEASE HELP! I've done this before, but it was years ago....

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

My data is below:

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
You have to paste (special) the data to the chart before you can do anything to it. It first will be another set of bars pasted on top of the others. Then you can change its type to a line chart: right click on it, choose Change Series Chart Type. I don't think you need a second axis, you just need to plot the day numbers as the X values (skip the period).
