Combinations/Permutations Subtotal within data set.

Hi,

I'm working with some survey info with about 1000 respondents.

I want to try and figure out the count for all available permutations of choices. Not the number of possible permutations. But the combinations that exist within the data.

Each column is a different answer a respondent could have given to 12 questions.

So the dat would look something like this:

What I want to do is subtotal
the various combinations of answers to figure out what is the most common response trees.


I guess I could fuse all the columns into one cell separated by columns and then filter that with a subtotal? Is there a better way to do this?

Hi VoG, thanks for getting me started! I took a look at what that code is supposed to do but I believe it's not what I'm looking for. That code would give me the possible combinations of a given set of data.

I'm looking to get a subtotal of the existing combinations within my data set.

So from my data example above. I'd like to know how many people answered exactly the number of people that answered exactly like Jessica.

Each column is a different question and the answers that were given. Is there a way to combine an entire row's worth of cells into one cell? That way I I think I could just sort and subtotal to find the most common response trees.
