I am trying to setup some conditional formatting to turn a row range of cells green if any of those cells have an x in them.

I am setup as per below. The formula turns the cell range green if I put an x in cell G5 but does not work if I remove the x from G5 & place it in H5 or I5 or J5 etc. Can anyone help on this one?

Rule type:
Use a formula to determine which cells to format

Format values where this formula is True:
=$G$5:$R$5="x"

Applies to:
=$G$5:$R$5

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Brilliant. That worked perfectly. Many thanks for taking the time to help me, it is very much appreciated. Have a great day/evening. Iain.
